Modernity is a state that has happened in history, and it is a kind of attitude towards existence and life. But modernism is an ideology and an approach to understand modernity by itself. Most architects believe that the beginning of the modern era began with the rise of humanism and rationalism in the 15th century in northern Italy. Factors such as renaissance, religiosity, scientific orientation and industrial revolution accelerated this process.
The beginning of modern architecture in a codified form and using modern thought was from the end of the 19th century and the starting point of this architecture was in the city of Chicago in America and in the cities of Paris and Berlin in Europe. The period of early modern architecture was from the mid-1880s to the beginning of World War I, i.e. 1914.
The presence of new materials in the construction industry has created a great diversity in the interior and exterior design of the building. For this reason, this style of architecture has found many people in many countries, including newly developed countries.
The lack of use of numerous and various elements and decorations and the necessity of beauty in simplicity can be clearly seen in this style. Removing details to create a simple and clean building is one of the goals of this style. Flat roofs and cream, white and one-hand colors are the most used.
